vtrIT has a long-term position available in NYC for an experienced SAP Trainer.
Position Description:
This position reports directly to the SAP Training Manager, North America, and may interface with all levels of employees across the Company.
The purpose of this position is to transfer, to the employees of selected agencies and offices, the knowledge and skills required to use SAP by developing and delivering classroom and web-based training and associated materials, specifically in the SD, MM and PS modules, as well as assisting FI/CO modules.
This position has a primary impact upon Agency employees' understanding and ability to use SAP.
Approximately 10-25% travel is required in order to conduct classroom training in Agency offices during Deployment training.
Challenges:
- The fact that there is limited time to absorb specific SAP processes and procedures.
- Being able to negotiate time to collaborate with extremely busy Subject Matter Experts.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Training Manager to analyze Agencies' specific learning needs.
- Liaise with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), both in-house and within the Agencies to gather information, as well as create and edit classroom learning materials.
- Populate SAP Training environment with data for classroom exercises.
- Deliver instructor-led and web-based training to End-Users.

Requirements:
Required Skills for this SAP Trainer position include the following:
- Must have experience on at least two (2) major SAP Deployment training projects
- 3+ years of:
- Classroom training experience
- Technical Writing experience
- Must have excellent interpersonal, listening and communication (i.e. verbal and written) skills
- Must be pro-active, work well in a team situation, be concerned with customer satisfaction, and be a problem-solver
Specialized Skills and Competencies Required:
- Advanced:
- SAP knowledge of SD, MM and PS modules (i.e. Sales Distribution, Materials Management and Project Systems)
- Presentation and Training delivery skills
- Technical Writing skills
- Solid:
- Accounting and Finance skills
- Teamwork and Collaborative skills
- Basic:
- SAP knowledge of FI/CO (Finance Controlling) modules
- RWD Info Pak tool experience
- Service industry experience and expertise (i.e. Advertising) preferred
