SAS Technical Architect / Specialist

· The Senior Technical Specialist I is a technical subject matter expert.
· The Senior Technical Specialist I is accountable for ensuring ongoing Information Technology (IT) health by creating and evolving the technical design to support current and foreseeable changes, due to new technical or business requirements; and to support reuse by other Lines of Business (LOB's) and/or channels.
· The Senior Technical Specialist I shares expertise with project/work teams and identifies, analyzes, implements, and/or supports a design framework for building the technology which is consistent with Enterprise/LOB-wide initiatives.
· Provide application administration functions for the SAS environment to end users
Knowledge
· Possesses a university degree/college diploma and/or 7 - 10 years experience in the IT industry
· Possesses solid knowledge of a significant segment of client business and/or industry standards
· Demonstrates advanced knowledge of one or more areas of systems technology
· Is experienced with implementing processes at an organizational level using Enterprise IT methodologies (e.g., CMMI, ITIL, etc.)
· Is experienced with CMMI assessments/International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 Audits/ITIL processes
· Advanced knowledge of Business Intelligence Tools and design
· Business intelligence concepts and practices
· Understanding of business needs and usage of tools to provide effective solutions.
· Understanding of other technology groups to coordinate solution delivery as necessary.
Soft Skills:
· Possesses advanced technical skills and is able to learn and apply new skills quickly
· Possesses advanced relationship management, communication, and coaching skills
Technical Skills
· 5 -7 years experience with SAS BI Enterprise server components and tools (SAS Enterprise Guide, Management Console, Metadata Server, Object Spawner, Connect Server, Stored Process Server, Web reporting server, credit scoring module, performance module, forecasting module ..)
· Advanced AIX and Window system skills and concepts
· Past experiences with system architecture design (logical and physical), especially pertaining to BI tool (SAS)
· Able to stay current with existing and future trends regarding BI tools and environments
· Possess complex trouble shoot skills regarding system and tools
· Usage of BI tools such as SAS, MSBI and Web focus.
· Deep knowledge of end-to-end Data warehouse and common practices
· Technical documentation to outline and communicate solutions as necessary
· Proficient using SQL statements to query data....ability to read a data model, data mapping
· Proficient programming ability in SAS, and be able to provide guidance and support for development
