SAS Business Intelligence Engineer Job in San Jose 95110, California US
SAS Business Intelligence Engineer (Great company, in San Jose, CA)
If you have great SAS and business intelligence skills and are interested in working for a strong company, then please read on.
What you will be doing:
You will build and model an exception report that will monitor Internet Marketing Traffic data and respond accordingly when abnormalities pop up. Our process involves cataloguing clicks into different buckets depending on attributes of the click. We attach those clicks to ROI events where necessary and give credit to proper channels we deem responsible for the ROI events. Our cataloging process is not done in house currently so we have to judge the feeds we get to make sure that all traffic lines are clean. The proper candidate would be able to apply basic to advance statistical models using SAS to these traffic feeds for a number of vertical and horizontal categories. When anomalies surface the exception report should catch these and identify the where and when of the occurrence. Along with showing the occurrence of the anomalies we would like to see trending as well so an automated data pull of analyzed traffic for categories would also be necessary. This way we can see the before and after of the affected traffic line.
What is required:
· Advanced SQL query skills, must be able to write complex queries from scratch with large data sets in the terabytes
· Advanced SAS development skills (3-5 years) including: regression and liner and non-liner models; exception report tools and alert settings for abnormalities
· Strong statistical background
· Advanced BI skills with reports and trends
· Able to develop models and test and redevelop until operational
· Able to segment data traffic and monitor
· 5-8 years BI reporting skills for high traffic web sites
· Advanced Excel skills
