SAS Developer- Credit Risk
Overview:
A global bank is seeking a advanced SAS developer with strong experience to help build processes between the risk and finance systems. This is an initial 4 months contract with the potential to extend further.
Job Duties:
· Design a bridge building process between the Risk system (FRANK) and the Finance system (WALKER) for each of the 9 asset classes in scope. The process will need to highlight variances between the two systems.
These will be categorised as valid or invalid.
· Transition the process into BAU and work with the divisions to develop an agreed sign off process that supports the above.· Produce comprehensive documentation and provide regular progress updates to the RAFA Operations Committee.
· Develop a reporting tool/data warehouse to facilitate the production of the bridges.
· Work with other RAFA project teams to ensure the overall programme objectives, deliverables and key milestones are achieved.
· Facilitate meetings/workshops with representatives from divisions/business areas to document and understand requirements.
· Manage stakeholders and ensure the developed solution is fit for purpose for all parties involved.
· Analyse and reconcile large datasets and understand the complexities and differences between the Risk Finance systems.
Experience:
· Experience of working with management information systems.
· Experience of working in a change environment.
· Experience of working in a finance/regulatory reporting function.
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
· Good understanding of Basel framework, credit risk and banking regulations.
· Ability to work on own initiatives, but also as team player to achieve shared goals and objectives.
· Strong data analysis skills and experience of reconciling large data sets.
· Understanding of business analysis techniques and concepts.
· Understanding of relational databases.
· Educated to degree level, preferably in a numerical/financial subject.
· An appreciation of the project lifecycle.
Technical Knowledge:
· SAS 9.2, SAS Enterprise Guide 4.2, WRS, SAS Information maps studio, OLAP Studio and BI Dashboard (essential)
· Proficient use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Access and Excel SAS Add in (essential)
· VBA and JAVA programming (preferred)
