SASL Facilities Manager I Job in Lansdale, Pennsylvania US
Job Code: C120219 This position will manage the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facility related issues. Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs. Designs and develops organizational policies relevant to the facilities department. Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, infrastructure support and facilities expansion. Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Responsibilities include:
Develop long range plans, conceptual designs and capital outlay requirements and documentation for facility.
Plan, budget and schedule facility modifications including cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts and contracts for construction and acquisitions.
Formulate and coordinate program specifications, requirements for proposals and contracts and associated documents.
Act as Fleet Manager for Company vehicles.
Review real estate contracts for compliance with government specifications and suitability for occupancy.
Oversee the coordination of building space allocation and layout.
Manage facility and maintenance personnel and the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of department: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Inspect plant and evaluate use of space and facilities.
Analyze firm's HVAC systems, fire systems, lighting, plumbing and other factors to ensure proper operation and code requirements.
Perform audits to support facility planning.
Manage Environmental Programs and Regulatory compliance.
Manage Safety and Industrial Hygiene Programs and Regulatory compliance.
Will act as Primary Emergency Coordinator for Company.
Manage Hazardous Waste Management Programs.
Travel to remote sites that require Facilities/SHE support.
Manage Business Continuity plan and response.
Oversee CRS programs.

- Qualified candidates will possess:
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree or equivalent, plus minimum of ten (10) years previous facilities management experience in a multi-building company within a manufacturing environment. Must have experience evaluating proposals, analyzing building codes and regulations.
- Must have at least five (5) years supervisory experience.
- Must have experience in Environmental Regulatory compliance and codes.
- Must have experience in Safety and Industrial Hygiene Regulatory compliance and codes.
- Must have experience working with AutoCad and be able to read blueprints.
- Communication skills sufficient to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Reasoning skills sufficient to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Experience and thorough knowledge of design and architectural concepts in order to facilitate office maintenance and relocations.
- Must have thorough knowledge and experience in Building codes, and building systems such as: HVAC systems, alarm systems, lighting systems.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
