SATELLITE COORDINATOR (SALES)

Can you lead teams comprised of sales, supply chain, and quality assurance individuals to produce sales growth while maintaining delivery and quality objectives? Collaborating with sales, administration and supply chain, the Sales Coordinator is tasked with growing profits through the coordination of all activities relating to sales. Using training programs and coaching, this individual will develop the team and ensure compliance on safety and quality.
Accountabilities:
Sales and negotiations
- Responsible for implementing SOPs regarding pricing/discounts
- Supports achievement of sales and profitability targets
- Maintains existing client relationships and grows market penetration
- Supports market Sales Representative with client visits
- Works with clients to define requirements and procedures
Coordination and pricing
- Reviews objectives with appropriate member of management and implements strategies to achieve targets.
- Analyzes profitability of accounts and implements pricing changes as necessary
- Uses internal and client directives to develop and support sales and marketing objectives.
- Proactively maintain market data expertise and use knowledge to make adjustments according to sales growth, trends and other information.
A/R
- Maintain targeted levels of A/R objectives for region
- Support administration by ensuring the credit policy is followed and credit applications approvals are in place for all new clients
- Help with collections effort as needed
Supply Chain
- Supports Supply Chain in managing distribution and transportation including value of distribution schedules
- Monitors inventory levels to ensure they are sufficient to meet client requirements and objectives.
- Works with client base on cylinder management and problem solving
Leadership
- Training teams including product knowledge, sales strategies, market data
- Coordinates work allocation and establishes team member objectives
- Reviews productivity with team members and supports efforts to meet objectives.
- Performs evaluations of team members.
Quality / Safety
- Actively adheres to and promotes safety objectives.
- Maintains a working knowledge of all quality procedures.
- Fields customer complaints and implements corrective and preventive measures
Change management
- Works cross functionally to improve processes.
- Uses 5S (or similar) principles to analyze business activity, identify root cause and suggest corrective actions
Qualifications
- Post-secondary diploma or combination of studies and experience
- Knowledge and understanding of industrial products
- 5 years related experience
- Proficient user of MS Office suite
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Superior organizational skills
- Bilingualism (asset)
- Customer service excellence
- Experienced in sales
- Problem solving and decision making skills
