Working with complex business/commercial loans and/or all types of SBA loans, serves as the primary liaison between the Credit Approval Officer (CAO) and Relationship Manager (RM) with respect to entity review, collateral review and loan documentation for approved loans. Responsible for review of approval, determination and verification of due diligence to ensure loan will be closed in accordance with approval as well as preparation or coordination of preparation of appropriate loan documentation for new, renewal, modification of loans. Independently identifies and manages vendor and documentation risk to the bank.
Reviews commercial credit application packages for adherence to credit policy and determination of appropriate due diligence necessary to ensure proper collateral position. Reviews the following: business entity and organizational documents to include trust agreements, good standing of business entities, real estate title work, valuation, environmental information, UCC searches, etc. as required. Coordinates obtaining or ordering and reviews: title work, surveys, equipment and real estate valuations, flood checks, as well as other reports and information Evaluates all reports and information received with respect to collateral evaluation verification to determine if terms and conditions of the credit approval will be met. Prepares the loan and compliance documentation necessary to protect the bank's interest.
- Requires experience preparing commercial loan documents and all types of SBA loan processing, including experience with due diligence related to commercial loans
- Requires 5+ years experience with commercial real estate, title work, surveys, construction lending loan documentation preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of commercial loan products, business loan sales and underwriting processes.
- 1+ years compliance experience preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of laws and regulations affecting appropriate due diligence, excellent knowledge of real estate lending, loan documentation perfection of collateral.
- Able to act independently in a high volume environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication skills and PC skills.
- Able to communicate well and work independently in a high volume environment.
- College degree, paralegal, or equivalent work experience.
