Macquarie Securities Group (MSG) is a global institutional securities house covering sales, research, ECM, execution and derivatives and delta one activities. MSG uses its research and risk management skills to develop equity-based solutions and services for clients internationally.
The Macquarie Securities Group has an opportunity for an SBL Trader to join the team in New York.
You will be responsible for:
- Strong focus on relationship development and management, not just maintenance, to drive profitability.
- Collaborating with internal businesses to minimise stock borrow cost and monetise internal house positions.
- Ensuring adherence to licensing and regulatory guidelines.
- Continued focus on process optimization / improvement for desk.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Frugal and resilient business builder with a minimum of 3 to 5 years US equity finance experience.
- Detailed understanding of and experience with the intricacies of the US markets and regulatory requirements.
- Have a high level of drive and commercial acumen, coupled with a willingness to take responsibility.
- Be competitive, hard working, driven by success and committed to quality output.
- Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team.
- Be fluent in English.
- Knowledge of equity finance related markets (such as warrants, prime broking, index arbitrage, loans and deposits, FX and interest rate forwards and swaps) is advantageous.
- The ability to cooperate and work effectively in a team environment.
- Tertiary (or post tertiary) qualifications in Engineering, Maths, Finance.
