SCA General Maintenance Worker - D igital Multi-purpose Range Complex (D MPRC) for the WarFighter Focus (WFF) Contract at Ft. Riley, KS Essential Job Functions: Installs player unit, performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as audio/video equipment installs, painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work. Constructs and installs targets according to scenario setup sheet, fitting of thermal units and hit sensors, test the operation to insure they are functioning correctly. Continuously monitors the performance of down range target devices, repairs or replenishes damaged targets as needed, reestablishes failed communication from System Controller Station (SYSCON) to Meggitt lifters. Responsible for the drawing, loading, unloading and performing maintenance or trouble shooting procedures on the (BES) Battle Effects Simulator. Assists the Elect Tech II in the installation of player unit packages on to armored military vehicle on the DMPRC. Responsible for maintaining Player Unit Batteries such as monitoring a charging log, ensures the proper disposal of any unserviceable ones accordance with HAZMAT standards. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or G.E.D. Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a security clearance if required. Additional Qualifications: Must be able to read and speak English Must be able to reach and bend Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Must be able to work in inclement weather Must have a valid Driver's License Must be able to travel as required Note : This job description describes the general nature of the duties and requirements of the job.
