The Tractor Operator drives gasoline or diesel powered tractors attached to mowing decks, bush hogs, woods mowers or other implements as required and be capable of ensuring grass cutting at the height required by the COR. The Tractor Operator fastens attachments such as graders, plows, rollers, mowers, backhoes, seeders, and disc harrows to tractor, adjusts equipment for proper operation, lubricates and makes minor repairs to tractor and attachments such as tightening bolts, and replacing washers, cotter pins, and screws. The Tractor Operator operates small z-turn or riding mowers, push mowers, weed eaters, chippers, and various hand tools as required. The Tractor Operator conducts operator-level maintenance on all equipment listed above. The Tractor Operator will be experienced and certified by Parsons according to requirements in section 17.0 of the PWS as capable of operating said tractors and required implements. Qualifications The minimum qualifications for this labor category are: High school diploma or equivalent, minimum one (1) year demonstrated relevant experience in the operation of tractors described above, capability for field work involving heavy lifting (no more than 50 lbs for a single person lift) and climbing over rough terrain under various weather conditions.
