SCADA & Automation Engineer Job in Los Angeles, California US
My Client in Long Beach, CA is looking for a SCADA Automation Engineer for large Scale oil and gas projects.
Plan and execute Automation Engineering efforts for the design and implementation of automation systems for oil gas and process industry projects
Provide technical support, guidance and expertise for all phases of automation projects, front-end engineering through detailed design, configuration, implementation, start up and commissioning
Requirements
10 years of experience in an automation engineering role, actively engaged on automation design and implementation projects utilizing major DCS, PLC, Safety System or SCADA control system platforms
Experience in the control systems integration with an operating company, systems vendor or engineering services provider for onshore or offshore oil gas / energy industry projects
Experience with Front-End Engineering (FEED) phases of automation projects in the energy industry
Strong background in multiple system platforms, operating systems and the interactions between systems
Should understand the principles of relational databases, application interfaces, and Human Machine Interface design and implementation
Experience with systems testing, start-up and commissioning
Expert written and verbal communication skills
Legal authorization to work in the USA on a full-time basis
Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
