Scheduler – Production Planner – Customer Machine Shop:
ABS Machining is a successful custom machine shop. We are seeking an experienced Schedule/Production Planner to assume responsibility for scheduling and managing the work throughout the machine shop.
The ideal candidate will possess at least 10 years experience in CNC custom machining at a management level such that your experience and knowledge would allow you schedule on both conventional and CNC equipment. Your skill set will enable you to schedule and coordinate production activities on the floor. Additional responsibilities could include; dealing directly with customers regarding product delivery and quality issues and production schedules. The incumbent will work closely with purchasing, engineering, estimating and human resources departments.
The successful candidate will be computer proficient, will have superior communication skills, a proven production management background in a machine shop environment and strong planning, scheduling and organization abilities. Knowledge of welding process is a definite asset. A General or Industrial Machinist Certification is preferred.
