Education:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, business or related field. Or demonstrated combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities, and experience.

Experience:
* Entrants to this position generally possess 5+ years of experience with the engineering, procurement and construction of mechanical and electrical power systems in operating industrial facilities in a cost and schedule position. Field construction experience with 3+ years preferred.
Requirements:
* Applicant must be a US Citizen
* TS/SCI full polygraph clearance or ability to obtain while working
* Strong familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
* Experience and knowledge developing Primavera 3 (P3) and Primavera 6 (P6) schedules
* Earned Value Management (EVM) skills
* Ability to work independently as well as across organizations and functional areas

Preferences:
* Experience with Government contracts and FAR

Job Description:
URS Corporation is looking for a Scheduler to join their program team in Annapolis Junction, MD. This individual will have direct responsibility and oversight for monitoring subcontractor schedules. This position will report to the Project Controls Manager. The Livewire program consists of multi-year execution of multiple FFP construction projects, TM projects, and reimbursable level of effort scopes.

Successful candidate will:
* Maintain summary level schedule reports (i.e. Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, and other program metric/management tools)
* Identify and analyze schedule variances, as well as recommend associated corrective actions
* Measure progress and review invoices of contractors
* Provide management with input on subcontract performance
* Conduct or assist in performance measurement and associated schedule trends
* Participate in, as well as lead project planning and scheduling review meetings as required
* Review and report on subcontractor schedule updates
* Provide analysis of schedule data to identify key project issues and report to management
* Investigates causes of variance between planned and earned/actual progress and recommends solutions or recovery plans
* Understands and applies fundamental to advanced schedule control techniques
* Updates and produces scheduling management reports
* Use drawings and specifications for schedule development
* Review changes and tracks changes to the schedule
* Identify delays and perform analysis of delay claims as needed
* Supports various levels of project reporting
* Assist in procedure development and implementation
* Report to management and the client on the status of the projects
* Communicate with Project Managers and subcontractors at the site
* Walk jobsite to verify contractor's schedule updates
* Collects and analyzes data for tracking actual cost to funding limitations
* Familiar with the concepts and principles of project revenue and cost
* Assist in assembling data for cost trending and forecasting
* Assist senior scheduler and cost analyst in performing advanced project controls duties
