Department
The ‘Analytical Development’ department is part of the Pharmaceutical and Analytical Development group and is responsible for developing methods that are required for analysis of classical vaccines as well as for vaccines based on adenovirus platform. Product analysis includes testing for quantity, potency, purity and identity, but also detailed structural characterization. In addition, the Analytical Development department develops assays to support formulation development and stability monitoring, as well as routine sample analysis to support other departments.

Job description
We are looking for a motivated individual who enjoys working in a multidisciplinary team in the fields of analytical assays development for characterization of classical vaccines based on inactivated viruses. Content analyses, aggregation assessment and virosomal protein characterization will be the main focus. Your main tasks will include method development, qualification validation, troubleshooting and planning, performing reporting analyses.

Who we're looking for
We are seeking a candidate with a PhD in a relevant discipline such as biochemistry, life sciences, molecular biology, or related fields. Experience with protein biochemistry techniques, such as HPLC-based analytical methods, MALS, DLS, CE, Electrophoresis techniques, UV measurement is required; experience with additional analytical techniques and familiarity with quality systems such as GMP are strong advantages.

The candidate fit for the job is accurate, innovative, can think “out of the box”, and enjoys working in a team. Flexibility, planning, organization and communication are key competences for this position.
