Translational Medical Research
CENTER FOR TRANSLATIONAL MEDICINE
Temple University School of Medicine has recently established a Center for Translational Medicine to house a cutting-edge molecular medicine research unit. We are currently seeking outstanding scientists for tenure-track faculty positions. Candidates with current independent funding are preferred and we are currently seeking scientists with a research focus in genetics of cardiovascular disease and/or metabolic disorders. These positions will complement and synergize with ongoing basic and clinical research programs in the Departments of Pharmacology and Medicine and the newly established Temple Clinical Research Institute. The newly established Center for Translational Medicine occupies space on the recently completed 9th floor (over 25,000 sq ft of open lab space) of the new Medical Education and Research Building. The Center currently has multi-disciplinary research interests in gene therapy, heart failure and cardiac regeneration. Interested candidates should have an MD, PhD or MD/PhD degree, and a strong academic record. Academic appointment is available at all levels and competitive packages will be offered based on qualifications.
