SUMMARY: Provide project leadership and management of fuel survey project(s) such as plan, coordinate and monitor progress of project work; work with field contractor sample collection and standardized testing conducted in laboratory; keep client and manager informed of all aspects of project including technical and financial; interact and participate with laboratory staff during project activity; interface with other departments handling contractual and legal requirements, accounting, invoices, technical support and purchasing; lead and support proposal efforts and do promotional work; write reports and prepare and deliver presentation in support of projects and other assignments; apply chemistry skills to further enhance and expand project capabilities; assume responsibility for quality improvements.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Requires a BS degree in Chemistry with at least a 3.0 GPA and one year lab experience including wet chemistry and instrumentation. Work experience should include knowledge of quality control principles and proven writing abilities. Previous work experience with groups of people is preferred; must have software skills in Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word; an understanding of relational databases is highly desirable; excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are required; must have good verbal communication; must have an understanding of and a commitment to customer service and customer satisfaction; must be willing and able to frequently interact directly with demanding clients and work flexible hours when needed. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
