Scientist/Sr Scientist

Lancaster Laboratories, a nationally recognized laboratory, is searching for a Scientist/Sr Scientist to support our Professional Scientific Staffing group in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

·Develop cell-based and receptor-based potency assays for formulation, stability studies, and product lot release

·Problem-solve and troubleshoot where necessary

The ideal candidate would possess:

·Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills

·Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail; excellent project management skills including the ability to manage ones project resource requirements (material, manpower, time, etc.), and ability to elevate relevant issues to project lead and line-management

·Ability to work independently and as part of a team with internal and external clients, self‑motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

·Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

·Experience with a variety of cell-based and receptor-ligand-based assays

·Experience with techniques used in cell biology and biochemistry, bioassay development, qualification, and validation

·Familiarity with GMP/GLP standards

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

·B.S. in Cellular/Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related science

·At least three years related experience

·Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed.  Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Seattle, Washington are encouraged to apply.
