They have just finished their 6th consecutive year of record revenues are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, highly quantitative professional to lead their online shopping technology. This position will be responsible for integrating cutting edge Search Engine Marketing (SEM) capability with product comparison shopping. The perfect candidate needs to be a strategic thinker who is both extremely analytical/innovative, comfortable working in a high energy start-up environment, passionate about learning "e-commerce" as well as search segments of the Internet industry. Experience in Search Engine Marketing (SEM), comparison shopping engines, web UI is desirable, but a passion for internet search shopping along with the desire to help pioneer the next revolution in Search Engine Marketing (SEM) is a must!!
This position reports directly to the Sr. Vice President of U.S. Comparison Shopping will lead efforts including directing the teams responsible for managing our keyword portfolios as well as paid search processes. Candidates will be working closely with engineering to develop the processes tools for scalable management of keywords as well as content for campaigns on all major advertising networks. This position will also be responsible for managing the financial performance for all of our search marketing efforts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Candidates will need to take responsibility for key paid search business performance metrics such as cost per click, revenue per visitor, overall revenue, conversion rates.
- This position will lead the ongoing development optimization of our keyword portfolio.
- Candidates must also be able to develop, lead, implement the core Search Engine Marketing (SEM) growth strategy for our company.
- Candidates must also optimize the performance of our keyword portfolio through testing new creative landing pages.
- Candidates must be able to maintain key goals of maximizing revenue while maintaining required Return On Investment (ROI).
- Candidates must also manage develop a team of Search Engine Marketing (SEM) portfolio managers.
- Candidates will also assist in directing engineering efforts to expand optimize large scale automated keyword management [25MM+ keywords].
- Candidates will also need to show effective interaction with a wide variety of individuals throughout the organization including the Business team, Product team, Engineering team, Executive Management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidates must have a BA/BS in Engineering or Computer Science or a comparable Analytical Quantitative Major. Candidates with a MBA is strongly preferred
- Candidates must have 7+ years of work experience directly related to Search Engine Marketing.
- Candidates must have 2+ years of experience in managing large scale keyword campaigns for Google AdWords, Yahoo Search Marketing (Panama), or Microsoft AdCenter.
- Candidates must have a high level of comfort with data-oriented, quantitative decision making.
- Candidates also need exceptional quantitative analysis skills.
- Candidates also need excellent communication skills.
- Candidates also need to show the ability to manage goals effectively in a highly "matrixed" environment.
- Candidates must also have a positive attitude enthusiasm for delivering results.
