Search Marketing Manager

 

BookIt.com is seeking a uniquely qualified person to revolutionize SEM in the online travel industry.

 

 

The ideal candidate has proven experience in day-to-day management of multi-campaign Search Marketing programs, particularly but not exclusively with Google AdWords. The Search Marketing Manager will assist in the development and implementation of a Search Marketing strategy in conjunction with BookIt.com®’s marketing team and outside consultants, but will be solely responsible for day-to-day execution and management.

 

The Search Marketing Manager will be responsible for executing and managing the tactical components of an integrated Search Marketing campaign which may include both Paid Search (Pay-Per-Click) and Vertical Search Channel Management. The Search Marketing Manager assists with the strategy, planning and reporting of Digital client Search Marketing campaigns and is responsible for the day-to-day management and ongoing performance optimization.

 

The Search Marketing Manager will assist in fielding and resolving search marketing challenges and will be expected to solve issues and achieve/exceed campaign goals independently or collaboratively within the appropriate agency team(s). The position will be responsible for assimilating data from multiple sources, compiling the information and drawing actionable conclusions that can be measured and reported. Candidate will be expected to organize large volumes of information, across multiple vendors and platforms. The Search Marketing Manager is expected to provide status reports, communicate findings and monitor the incremental improvement or effects of changes and must be able to synthesize conclusions based on available data.

 

The Search Marketing Manager will possess up-to-date knowledge of the search marketplace and maintain relationships with key outside vendors. They build mid-level client relationships and oversee day-to-day projects to ensure that deliverables are met. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

 

·         This role requires the ability to operate on both a strategic and tactical level, touching all aspects of the search marketing roadmap including keyword management, creation of campaign messaging, bidding strategies, creative testing, and analytics.

 

·         Develop specific targeted keyword campaigns and optimize on an ongoing basis

·         Profit and Loss management of Search Marketing products/effort.

·         Possess a mastery of all elements of paid media campaign management, including the tactics of Search.

·         Marketing and the tools used for implementation.

·         Assist in the developing keyword advertising copy/messaging and proofreading content to ensure quality of message.

·         Maintain an understanding of industry trends and research industry related media.

Coordinate Ad copy between BookIt.com®’s marketing group and outside consultants to maintain accuracy and consistency.

Work closely with BookIt.com®’s marketing team to execute our comprehensive marketing strategy.

Track and analyze daily performance metrics and work with management team to adjust strategy.

                              

Hours 

This is a full time salaried position (must average 38 hours to be considered full time status). 

 

Education and/or Experience                                               

                                 

Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

                                                                                           

Language Skills                                               

 

Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

 

Mathematical Skills                                                 

 

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis.

 

 

Reasoning Ability     

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables 

 

 

Computer Skills

Spreadsheet Software, Internet Software and  Word Processing Software.  Professional AdWords management experience is required. Experience with AdWords Editor and Bing AdCenter Editor are highly preferred. Google Analytics experience and Omniture experience are a plus. Google AdWords certification a plus.
