Job Description The Field Operations Manager (FOM ) is responsible for an assigned Region/Area in Operations, Safety and Shrink Excellence. The FOM drives operational performance, performs audits within the Region, identifies root causes, develops and implements solutions, and provides training. The position is a field assignment requiring the ability to work independently without daily supervision, while at the same time functioning as an integral part of an overall Field Operations team. Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements Job Duties/Responsibilities: ? Performs in-depth operational audit/ reviews of store performance and compliance in accordance with SHC policy and procedures. This includes shrink exposure, safety expense, P/L expense, ( ie Over/shorts,chargebacks, checks, Receiving charges, Warex, etc ). Develops action plans with the DSM to correct identified deficiencies. ? Identifies and communicates issues or concerns discovered during the course of the review to the store manager/owner ? Works with RSD/National Field Director to effect key operational processes and accounts. Proactively identifies operational and shrink and safety issues and works with assigned Regional Director to mitigate risk ? Leads assigned Region/Area in ensuring that locations properly prepare for physical inventory process. Subject matter expert on Inventory instructions, post inventory reconciliation and inventory training. ? Conducts root causes analysis of inventory results and assists RSD/DSM in post- inventory strategy, tactics and overall shrink risks. Conducts ongoing shrink and reports training. ? Leads Shrink and Safety Focus Program and work with DSM in monitoring progress ? Identifies dishonesty within stores and respond accordingly utilizing systemic alert signals and proactive measures. Effectively develops a partnership with the DCC team and loss prevention to reduce financial exposure to the organization. ? Identifies operational deficiencies and works with DSM to develop effective action plans in areas such as proper receiving (force bills/Open ASNs), RTV Process, Service Related Activities, Ratchet Repair, reduction of NPI, Management of over/shorts and bank reconciliations, bad check/credit charge backs ? Identifies Safety risks and root causes of accidents/expense. Develops action plans with RSD/NFD and DSMs on accident claims management, trends, and prevention tactics. Subject matter expert on claims process. ? Utilizes exception reporting to support Region/Area initiatives and strategic actions ? Provides training on operations and safety and shrink compliance to owners and store leadership team to reduce overall risk ? Provides periodic detailed summary of assigned Region results and performance Education Requirements: Bachelor's Level Degree Years of Related Experience: 3-4 Years License/Certificate Required: No Driver's License Required: No Travel Requirements: 100% Age Requirement: 18+ Required Skills: ? 3-4 Years Experience in Operations, auditing and/or Loss Prevention ? Computer skills - proficient in Excel, Word and exception based reporting ? Ability to influence change and lead through others ? Partnership building ? Ability to work cross-functionally ?
