The Northbrook Park District seeks motivated, creative and experienced Site Directors for the 2012 Summer Camp program.
Qualifications: 2+ years experience working with children is required. College degree (or comparable experience in working with people and programs) in education, recreation or related field is highly desirable. Applicant must be available M-F, 8am-3:30pm June 18-August 10. Applicant must be able to attend training dates prior to the start of the camp program (May 22, May 29, June 5 and June 12-14).
Duties Responsibilities: Directors are responsible for supervising the daily operations of his/her assigned camp site. Directors and/or Co-Directors will plan and implement a variety of activities to provide quality recreational camp experiences for children. The Directors and/or Co-Directors are also responsible for leading and directing assigned camp counselors and communicating with parents on a regular basis. Other responsibilities include creating camp calendars and weekly newsletters.
* Some camps have Co-Directors, based upon the size of the camp.
