Section Manager Job in Warrington, North West UK
An excellent opportunity has arisen at Norbert Dentressangle Logistics UK for a Section Manager to join the Woolston Distribution Centre in Warrington.
Main accountabilities to include but not be limited to:
Your primary responsibility will be to effectively manage an area within the Distribution Centre.
Working in a dynamic environment you will be expected to consistently achieve Key Performance Indicators in your area.
To achieve these results you must be able to evaluate your team's progress and make informed operational decisions throughout the shift.
You must be able to successfully manage 25-30 stock handlers, and be able to lead and motivate your own team.
You will be responsible for all aspects of staff performance including appraisals, sickness and absence management and day to day administration relating to company policies and procedures.
You must be able to manage Health and Safety of Area proactively
Provide development plans for Team Leaders to improve the sites supervisory team
The ideal candidate will have:
Demonstrable operational experience gained in a similar environment ideally with knowledge of a computerised warehouse system.
Experience of managing and motivating a team of people.
Strong organisational and planning skills
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills enabling you to operate at all levels within the D.C.
E-Commerce experience is desirable but not essential
Experience at a Team Leader or Supervisory level is essential.
An ability to work on any of our current shift patterns and will include weekend working.
Excellent IT ability
