Section Mgr, LAC Sales (Ft. Lauderdale Office) Job in Tulsa, Oklahoma Us

Responsibilities

Responsible for negotiating new sales, request for proposals (RFP's), and agreements with domestic and international tour organizations and consortia; maintaining and developing business relationships; representing the company at Latin American and Caribbean travel industry tradeshows; and developing sales materials.

1. Assist in identifying and developing contracted business, for both the Dollar and Thrifty brands, to prospective accounts and distribution channels selling prepaid packages to Latin America the Caribbean; including Tour Operators, Brokers, Internet Aggregators, Wholesalers, Airlines, and Consortia; sell, prospect, and negotiate contracts advertising placements in order to increase market share penetration.
2. Prepare and administer all Latin American and Caribbean contract documentation and amendment updates through systems provided by the company
3. Make recommendations to LAC sales team for implementation of short-term incentive programs for travel industry and consortia partners to increase brand awareness and improve market share.
4. Represent the company at select Latin American and Caribbean travel industry, consortia and affiliate events, including meetings, tradeshows, and conferences, for the purpose of contracting new business, increasing share of existing business, and raising brand awareness for Dollar and Thrifty.
5. Develop and administer budget for brand awareness marketing opportunities, and monitor variances on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:

* General knowledge of the travel industry and consortia programs.
* Working knowledge of travel distribution processes including Global Distribution Systems (GDS), Internet Aggregators, Tour Operators and Brokers.
* Proven analytical skills; ability to analyze pricing schemes incentive programs for existing and prospective accounts.
* Proven presentation skills including ability to prepare and deliver message to existing and prospective accounts; strong oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to resolve problems by finding creative solutions to the competitive car rental and challenging pricing environment.
* Proven negotiation skills with the ability to express company's position clearly and be able to close prospective deals.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Ability to pay close attention to detail.
* Self starter and able to work on their own initiative.
* Skill and proficiency in the use of computer software packages, including word processing and spreadsheet applications.

EQUIVALENT EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelor's degree in business or related field
* Must be able to speak and write Spanish
* 3-5 years of related work experience
* Must have sales experience dealing directly with Business-to-Business (B2B)
* Must have successful experience with negotiating and closing sales
