Sector Head

Corporate Institutional Risk provides a dedicated risk support for Corporate relationships in the UK and international covering all exposures for approx 8.500 connections across a wide range of sectors with varying degrees of complexity including a Structured Finance Book. The key focus of the role is to lead a team of credit risk professionals specialising in sector and product areas. p

Responsibilities: p

Drive proactive sector strategy formulation and execution in collaboration with Active Portfolio Management (APM), Portfolio p

Management of the Coverage Business p

Management of the risk appetite through established internal and external networks. p

Leading a sector team to influence credit risk strategy, policy and sector appetite through application of sector specific knowledge p

Overview and sign off on risk assessments and recommendations from senior credit officers. p

Ensure highest quality standards of underwriting and credit stewardship. p

Developing strong team working. p

High quality assessment and sanctioning. Exercising Delegated Authority under the Credit Approval Framework. p

Requirements: p

Strong interpersonal skills. p

Highly effective communication skills. p

People management skills - to encompass coaching, mentoring and motivation. p

Well developed technical lending risk assessment skills across a range of sectors. p

Track record of appropriate use of a significant delegated Lending Authority. p

Comprehensive knowledge of loan and banking products. p

Detailed knowledge of credit policy and procedures. p

Good understanding of legal/financial/sector developments in the corporate segment. p
