Securities Admin Services Analyst 2 - (Operations Analyst)
Edina, MN
This position is responsible for effectively managing the settlements process of assigned products within LaCrosse Global Fund Services. The person would work closely with client traders, counterparties, custodians/prime brokers and accountants to settle financial transactions. The position is responsible for maintaining confirmation and settlement of trades, strengthening controls and implementing efficiencies within all areas of responsibility. There are opportunities to learn about the hedge fund business as a whole through back-up opportunities and projects.
Principle Accountabilities:
- 60% - Work with traders, Custodians/Prime Brokers and client counterparties to confirm trades, pay/receive payments and trade settlement.
- 10% - Maintain positions through reconciliation and trade files in an organized manner.
- 10% - Create efficiency within daily responsibilities and other workflow processes.
- 10% - Back up other desks.
- 10% - Understand the Internal Control environment and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
- 1+ years' financial or related business experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong verbal communications skills; demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft.
- Strong excel and math skills.
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
- Demonstrated clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple demands and priorities.
- Ability to meet deadlines on a consistent basis.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt positively to a changing environment.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with spreadsheets.
- Demonstrated ability to improve work processes and controls.
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business Administration or Finance.
- Detailed knowledge of various financial market products.
- Working knowledge of SWIFT, DTC, MarkitSERV, Euroclear, DSMATCH.
