About the Opportunity
SWIB is seeking a securities analyst to play a critical role on its Small Cap Equities Team with primary coverage of the financial sector. The analyst will work with equity investment professionals as well as other SWIB staff to help achieve solid investment returns consistent with the strategy and risk profile of the Small Cap portfolio.
Essential Activities
· Develop and utilize sector-specific knowledge to make investment recommendations
· Update portfolio managers on important developments within the analyst’s universe of coverage
· Produce and maintain DCF models
· Contribute to team meetings regarding portfolio positioning and performance
· Develop relationships with management teams, industry specialists, and sell-side analysts
Candidate Qualifications
· Prior buy-side experience and/or financials coverage preferred
· MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
· CFA designation preferred
· Advanced analytical skills
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills
· Superb work ethic, attention to detail, team orientation, and commitment to excellence

The position requires U.S. work authorization and current residency in, or willingness to relocate to, the Madison, Wisconsin area. SWIB is prepared to offer relocation assistance.
