Securities Middle Office Change/ EU Regional Lead

Operations interfaces with all aspects of the Investment Banking organization in driving through the solutions needed to support and develop the different business areas of the Bank. Operations is the heart of the Investment Bank and is key in enabling the Bank to provide services and products while meeting the challenges being faced in a rapidly changing industry.

The Securities Middle Office Change team within Operations delivers projects in support of the daily operational processing of Cash Equities, Securities Lending, FIC Securities, and Repo products. The Change team is responsible for the delivery of projects within the Securities Middle Office global change portfolio. All members of the Change team work closely with Run-the-Bank line operations teams, businesses, and IT as well as partnering with other change teams across the organization.

Specific focus of the current role will be to lead the Securities Middle Office EU Change team. The function includes being in a leadership role, managing a team of +5 change resources ranging in title from Intern to Director, organizing the regional Change portfolio across Cash-SBL-FIC Securities-Repo, managing operations and business stakeholders in all product streams, creating and leading regional governance, forming annual budget, and hiring and enhancing the current Change team. Delivery will be based on the regional portfolio as well as driving forward and contributing to larger IB-wide programs. This role will report directly to the Global Head of Securities Middle Office Change based in New York, with matrix reporting into RTB stakeholders.

The successful candidate will join and lead the EU Securities Middle Office change team. The program follows both waterfall and agile methodologies, and operates at a very quick pace. The primary responsibilities/ core competencies for this role are:

• Leadership, management, and mentoring capabilities

• Ability to form and lead budgets, programs, and regional governance

• Analyze and document current state processes and drive future state requirements in conjunction with the Operations users, both onshore and offshore.

• Drive analysis with a relatively broad scope and complexity across department/ region/ product/ sponsor

• Create and deliver quality business requirements documents, test plans/ strategies, test cases, project timelines, and implementation/ migration plans

• Challenge and critique business requirements, present alternative options, and demonstrate appreciation of cost / benefit / ROI considerations

• Drive multiple projects front-to-back simultaneously

• Face-off directly to a range of stakeholders regularly up to MD level

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications

• Needs to be driven, flexible and a strong team player

• Need to have strong proven analytical skills, organizational skills, and communication skills

• Strong understanding of the Cash Equities business and operations processing/ settlements

• Strong understanding of Securities Lending Fixed Income products

• Extensive Change experience or relevant 'run the bank' experience including strong involvement in change initiatives
