Experienced candidate required to join our EMEA Securities team, which forms part of the Securities Utility. The EMEA Securities Settlement team incorporates Top Tier Client, Fixed Income, Cash Equity, Prime Brokerage, SWAP and Stock Borrow Loan settlement. Securities Settlement main stakeholders are the Fixed Income, Equity and Prime Brokerage Businesses, Trade Support, Operations Management and Risk Control. Key aspects of the role:
- Supervise and act as SME for the interest claims team, including monitoring resolution of aged claims.
- Acting as the escalation point for the interest claims team, escalating issues further where necessary.
- Work closely with Stock Borrow Loan and the rest of the Securities Settlements team
- SME for billing team including covering onshore procedural activities such as nostro break resolution, postings and query resolution.
- Actively look for opportunities to improve processes and realise efficiency gains.
- Produce and continually look to improve MI provided to stakeholders and management.
- Work under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst adhere to performance risk framework.
- Query management and resolution for Cash and Control functions.
- Support and escalation for the PB Cash Offshore and Controls offshore teams.
- Coverage for Nostros / Controls / Cash RFA flows related to the Prime Brokerage and Cash Equity business.
- Coordinating month end sub ledger sign off and substantiation.
- Risk reporting to the Business.
- Analysis of errors / losses implementation of mitigating solutions.
This is an excellent opportunity to interface with a wide cross section of internal and external clients and will ensure a thorough understanding of the operational process. The individual will be expected to demonstrate a high level of drive and commitment in all aspects of the role
Requirements:
- Graduate calibre or equivalent combined with knowledge of core financial products - IAQ Affiliate desirable.
- Must have previous exposure from a similar banking Operations environment with a proven track record in solving day-to-day process problems – must understand full trade cycles of the products and processes that are involved.
- Proactive approach in understanding the root cause of exceptions to improve efficiency and client service levels.
- Ability to maintain and build existing relationships with all areas that Settlements interface with on a daily basis.
- High capabilities in maintaining accuracy and integrity of data - reduce exceptions and workload through best practice
- Demonstrate understanding and commitment to the professional, ethical and legal standards required in Operations.
- Confident user of MS Office (Excel and Word).
