Schedule:                   M-F, 9am – 5pm

FLSA Status:              Non-Exempt (Hourly Employee, Eligible for Overtime)

Experience Level:     Entry Level

Salary:                       $16.4835 Hourly

Location:                    New York City

 

General Position Summary:

This is an entry level position in which the individual will be responsible for handling various tasks within the Corporate Actions section, including but not limited to:

 

§         Inputting mandatory corporate action events into the Trust Account System

§         Notifying clients of new/amended corporate action events

§         Tracking mandatory corporate action events

§         Researching of tax withholding status on mandatory corporate action events

§         Filing of monthly regulatory reporting

§         Processing monthly custody fee invoices/receivables

§         Reporting, tracking and testing of Trust System defects- including heavy 

§         communication with the system vendor

§         Participating in corporate actions system enhancement testing

§         Inputting and maintaining security master file

§         Liaising with the Income Collections Section on NRA Tax, Regulatory Reporting and Fee Issues.

§         Taking on additional projects or assignments as deemed necessary by supervisor (e.g. back-up to clerical level staff members in department)

 

Requirements/Qualifications:  

·         Bachelors Degree (Finance, Economics, Business or Accounting) preferred.

·         Minimum of 1 year work experience in a banking/financial institution or in a related area preferred.

·         Candidate must be able to read and understand corporate action materials.

·         Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Windows (e.g. Word and Excel).

·         Candidate must be capable to produce accurate work (i.e.: checking data)

·         Candidate must be detailed oriented, organized and a fast learner.

·         Candidate must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.

·         Able to work quickly through assignments and multi-task under pressure.

·         Flexible with work hours and be able to work overtime as needed.
