The Security Analyst is responsible for developing, establishing and maintaining standards, policies, and guidelines on the use of computer-based application systems while minimizing the negative impact of security on employee efficiency. Analyze, respond to and implement information security requests involving changes to access corporate computer based resources. Investigate any actual or potential information security violations and recommend appropriate actions. Design and implement policies, procedures, and strategies of corporate security, including but not limited to, internal/external investigations, regulations, computer security, proprietary information protection, and operating system security. Coordinate an ongoing review of existing security programs and initiate the development of new programs as needed. Demonstrate a technical leadership role in information security. Function as a project leader to develop, communicate, implement, and monitor security solutions and processes using multi-disciplinary teams. Establish security guidelines for the implementation of new applications(s) designs and major modifications prior to implementation. Establish and maintain security administration procedures and in-house written software for Security Administration. Provide consulting support and make recommendations to management regarding appropriate, timely, and necessary security improvements or enhancements. Install, customize, and maintain information security software. Coordinate information security efforts with internal and external auditors. Have the ability to function on an interim basis as an Information Security Supervisor. Direct and coordinate the assignments for the Security Analyst Is and IIs.
