The organisation seek a talented IT Security Architect to provide direction drive for Information / IT Security improvements to the areas of software development infrastructure as they continue to see significant change enhancement.

The Role

The primary role of this IT Security Architect will be to work closely with the systems development, IT operations, and infrastructure groups on behalf of Technology Management, to lead security architecture assignments, to be responsible for designing, developing delivering cost effective, innovative security solutions architecture. Working with the Global; Head of IT Security, as part of the Technology IT Security Office, the role will be to design, develop, maintain security architecture standards, patterns, reference architecture, solution templates within projects / services that drive the evolution of information security technology secure environments. The successful IT Security Architect will take the lead in consolidation of security solutions across the group be tasked with reducing complexity. They will monitor emerging threats security technologies, making adjustment to the security architecture roadmap accordingly.

The IT Security Architect will also take a lead in guiding IT requirements in projects / services to ensure a clear set of security deliverables are considered, achievable fit for purpose. The successful applicant will have a proven record in delivery of security solutions from inception, proof of concept, testing, implementation, hand over to IT security operations. This hire will act as subject matter expert for information security risks, threats solutions across the group.

* Follow central guidance and direction provided by the Global Head of IT Security
* Establish communication between the regions and global IT security stakeholders
* Be responsible for security architecture within service (Monitoring, Incident Handling etc), application (N-Tier, SOA, Messaging etc) infrastructure (Platforms, Connectivity, Storage, AAA etc) and development.
*Review alignment between IT security and technology objectives
* Design enterprise-wide security architecture and road map for technology, processes and organisational structures and communicate the importance of a Global Security Architecture road map
* Gather technical requirements and convert into security architecture artefacts
* Applying risk management principles, design re-usable components, architectural patterns, and solution templates that drive the evolution of information security technology and secure environments
* Define controls catalogue (technical, process) mapped to company polices and standards, determine threat scenarios and create security test plans to confirm compliance and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of electronic information held within our IT systems
* Monitor emerging threats and security technologies and adjust security architecture roadmap and use cases accordingly
* Participate in high level project design activities to ensure alignment with security standards and architecture. Create new use cases where required and define technical and process control mappings
* Design and help implement solutions that quickly, simply and cost-effectively deliver improved security for organisation needs
* Oversee implementation of security architecture throughout solution delivery lifecycle and lead review of solution deliverables
* Review application, infrastructure and data model security architectures and recommend optimisations and reconfigurations to eliminate security vulnerabilities
* Given that this role is working with all Technology divisions, an effective communicator with strong client engagement and presentation skills are essential
* Key focus is to engage, inspire and drive practical solutions while maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of electronic information held within our IT systems

Salary Benefits

£80,000-£90,000/Annum + Excellent Benefits Bonus
