Summary:
The Marketing/Communications Associate will work in the Client Service and New Strategies Group of Security Capital Research Management Incorporated ("Security Capital") with primary activities including: Supporting senior investment team members in all elements of client, consultant and prospect visits, preparing presentations, identifying potential investors, responding to special client and consultant information requests.
Security Capital is one of the largest investment managers focused exclusively on real estate securities investments with approximately $4.8 billion of assets under management. Located in Chicago's financial district, Security Capital is a wholly owned subsidiary of JPMorgan Chase Co.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and attend client, consultant and prospect meetings with senior investment team members
- Oversee presentation preparation
- Identifying potential investors
- Respond to special client and consultant information requests
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Economics or related educational background
- Strong record of academic achievement
- Three to five years of marketing experience with client contact
- Experience in retail and mutual fund distribution desirable
- Attention to detail and commitment to excellence on many deadline-oriented projects
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced understanding of PowerPoint, Word
- Understanding of Excel
- Maturity and professionalism to work with confidential information and members of senior team
- Some travel required
