POSITION:          Security Engineer

 

LOCATION:         Woodland Hills, CA

 

DUTIES:                   

Provide technical direction on the secure administration of Solaris and Linux systems.  Review software project plans to identify potential security issues and recommend solutions.  Conduct risk assessments, audits, and vulnerability scans for systems and applications.  Coordinate and handle security incidents.  Recommend policies and practices for maintaining the security of the company’s information systems.  Perform vulnerability management, including assessing the severity of newly discovered security vulnerabilities.  Investigate, recommend and monitor implementation of new security products and services.  Monitor and evaluate internal and external security threats. Research security threats and recommend and implement appropriate changes to the security program to prevent company and customer data assets from being compromised. 

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Master’s degree in Information Systems or a related field.  In lieu of a Master’s degree, we will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems plus two years of experience in the job offered or related position.

 

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Professional or academic experience must include: 

            1)  Advanced Computer Network Applications

            2)  Javascript

            2)  Scripting Languages:  DHTML and XML

            3)  Programming Languages:  Java, C, C++

            4)  Web Application Security, Cryptography and algorithms

            5)  Linux and UNIX operating system, Host Vulnerability Management    

            6)  Application Vulnerability Management
