Security Reference Data Project Manager recruitment
Working as part of the Strategic Data Services team, this role involves managing the delivery of the one of the large data services projects such as Market Data Repository, Client Data Repository, Security Data Repository or Trade and Position Repository. Each initiative has peaks and troughs in workload so the candidate requires flexibility to play a role in one or more of these projects as demands from subscribing data consumers’ changes.
The position will involve working with other IT teams and management as well as some business participation. The person will be a strong project manager with a track record of managing projects over $1 million. Capital markets experience is a key skill and, preferably, some exposure to trade flow and back office operations. Any experience with reference data or data management in general is also an advantage.
Knowledge / Experience: Key Competencies Required:
* Knowledge and experience in capital markets business processes and related IT projects.
* Competence in reference data projects.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Business, MIS/IT, or a related field
* A minimum of 6 years success as an IT project manager, with proven people management skills
* Strong Project Management skills, including managing project scope, time, cost and quality
* High level of general management skills, including leading, negotiating, communicating and team building
* Extensive knowledge of project management, vendor management and people management practices
* Sound understanding of IT, including lifecycle planning, estimating and architecture
* Highly organized, with strong customer service, interpersonal and analytical skills
* PMP designation preferred
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail oriented environment
