Security Systems Engineer (Job Number:303289) Description: SAIC is seeking a Security Systems Engineer (SSE) to perform installation, inspection, configuration, integration and testing of electronic security systems (ESS), closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras and command control display equipment (CCDE) that include access control systems (ACS), intrusion detection systems (IDS) and CCTV systems to protect critical assets for our customers in various environments. This position is based in McLean, VA, however due to heavy travel requirements this position is open to teleworking. Candidates must have experience with electronic security systems. Experience with network communications and USAF sensor systems a plus. It is expected that the candidate can travel internationally and be willing to work onsite at CONUS and OCONUS locations for periods of 6-8 weeks at a time for the duration of a project, which can last 6-18 months. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The tasks to be performed/supervised by the SSE may/will consist of, but are not limited to, the following: -Perform pre-installation quality checks of ACS, IDS, CCDE and other support equipment. -Install and integrate ACS, ESS and CCTV with new or existing CCDE and associated IT networks, systems and other support equipment. -Provide technical support and oversight/supervision of subcontractor installation activities of all security system components and layer-one work at designated installations throughout Asia-Pacific. -Responsible to the project manager to make recommendations regarding the installation of electronic security equipment and supporting infrastructure. -Responsible to the project manager to serve as the main technical POC for the project to SAIC, subcontractors and the customer. -Responsible to the project manager to reports technical progress to the project manager in support of the project managers reporting requirements and project documentation requirements IAW the project plan and in line with the overarching project schedule. -Responsible to the project manager for the technical execution of the project IAW the project plan. -Responsible to the project manager for the execution of technical requirements and deliverables within required the project timeline. -Perform / participate in security site surveys. -Write detailed trip reports to include sensor recommendations and placement derived from site surveys. Qualifications: MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree and a minimum of 5+ years of technical experience relating to physical or electronic security system projects (Bachelors degree can be substituted for specific technical experience and or certifications). 5+years experience within a technological area related to physical or electronic security systems - Must hold current Secret Clearance - Must have demonstrated CAD or AutoCAD experience Must hold or able to obtain a current U.S. passport Must be willing to work in high risk areas ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prior DoD experience Prior experience working in Asia-Pacific Experience or expertise with USAF Electronic Security System components and their installation IAW USAF regulations and guidelines Vindicator IDS, VCC and ACS certification CCTV certifications (e.g. Pelco or Bosch) IT/Network certifications Professional Project Management PMI certification SAIC Overview:
