Nexenta Systems is seeking four senior level software developers with OpenStack, CloudStack, Citrix, and Kernel experience. We are building strong extremely capable Full-Stack RD team. Projects will require fairly deep understanding of backend (server development, APIs, OO), Cloud, and storage technologies.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop complex highly distributed cloud-based systems
• Full-cycle development, from high-level design - to initial requirements - to delivery for QA
• Produce high quality well-documented code at a startup pace
Desired Skills and Experience:
• Expert knowledge and experience in Python, to extend and customize OpenStack components: Cinder, Nova, Glance, Swift.
• Strong C Programming experience
• Strong knowledge of Operating Systems concepts pertaining to virtualization
• Experience merging patches and integrating logical change sets
• Experience with VM concepts and integration
• Proven record of carrying out test-driven development
• Experience with OpenStack as either a user or developer is preferred
• Other must and should-haves include: Unix, Git, participation in opensource dev.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/EE or related area
Location:
• The company is headquartered in San Francisco Bay Area - residence in the Bay Area is a plus.
