Segment and Channel Marketing Manager
Position Description
Segment and Channel marketing is responsible working with the Head of Segment and Channel Marketing to develop differentiated segment strategies; identifying the segments most attractive to Morgan Stanley, and those most likely to be attracted to the value proposition of a particular MS products and services.
• Responsibilities:
• Understand the market segments
• Assess customer and market opportunities through a segment specific lens
• Translate segment strategies to actionable marketing ideas and programs
• Develop strategic marketing plans, integrated campaigns and robust collateral in several media
• Create educational content related to tax law, estate planning, charitable giving, financial planning for several media, including seminars, websites, articles, multi-media presentations, brochures, pitchbooks
• Develop and execute marketing and communications for financials
• Partner with businesses to proactively build strategically aligned, robust and multi-media communications plans and campaigns to promote key initiatives.
• Help increase awareness and engagement of strategic business drivers tied to the Firm's priorities and platforms.
• Ensure messaging and value story are consistent across all lines and support key business initiatives
• Specific Business Area coverage for:
• Wealth Planning
• Financial Planning
• Trust Services
Skills Required
Knowledge and Skills Required:
• Bachelor's degree required; a concentration in marketing or communications is a plus.
• CFP, JD or MBA a plus
• 5+ years of financial services experience, with broad knowledge of investment industry products and services.
• In-depth experience in financial planning and marketing. In-depth experience in segment analysis and segment marketing with proven ability to create targeted messages to multiple segments for the same brand/product suite.
• Accomplished writer and excellent verbal communication skills.
• Solid project management skills; ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.
• Knowledge of legal, compliance and FINRA policies as they relate to investment products
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office software; especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Good communicator with the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
• Active Series 7 and 24 Licenses
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to the needs of the team as they arise
• Ability to prioritize and resolve complex problems and escalate as necessary
• Ability to identify issues and trends in order to anticipate change and provide recommended comprehensive solutions and remedies
• Ability to organize and prioritize workflow and assignments in a deadline oriented environment
• Ability to interact with Financial Advisors, Field Management and internal partners
• Excellent judgment
• Strong work ethic
