ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop strong relationships with all business functions and determine Human Resources priorities consistent with business objectives
  2. Serve as a leader in driving positive organizational change.Conduct and assist in job analysis and evaluation and preparation of job descriptions, expectations, and skills inventories
  3. Coordinate recruiting, selection, and employment activities for business unit; assist Corporate in college recruiting process
  4. Initiate and implement a required performance management process
  5. Provide training opportunities in performance management for leaders, including activities and metrics to ensure that goals are consistently being met in an effective and efficient manner
  6. Lead effort to critically evaluate and aggressively apply Lean principles in an effort to improve all tasks and activities, policies and procedures
  7. Manage efforts to improve diversity.Prepare Affirmative Action Plan
  8. Lead employee relations effort
  9. Lead labor relations effort, including conducting investigations and implementing corrective action; coordinate Union grievance process
  10. Coordinate and facilitate training programs and activities as determined for salaried staff
  11. Manage salaried and hourly payroll
  12. Manage general administrative functions and assure continuous improvement and efficiency
