Segment Marketing Manager – Business and Intermediary (B2B) Team – 12 Month Contract recruitment
The Banking and Financial Services Group (BFS) is the primary relationship manager for Macquarie's retail client base with operations in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, North America and Europe. BFS provides a diverse range of retail banking and wealth management products and services to intermediaries, businesses and the end consumer.
An exciting opportunity is currently available for several experienced marketers to join the newly aligned BFS Business and Intermediary (B2B) marketing team as a Segment Marketing Manager - on a 12 month parental leave contract.
Working closely with the Sales Segment and Product Heads the successful applicant will be responsible for designing strategic marketing strategies and plans utilising the full marketing mix to deliver the business objectives and product targets. You will also have accountability for the management of the segment/product core assets such as sponsorships, collateral, advertising, DM, events and online marketing in collaboration with the specialist marketing services teams to develop and deliver these assets.
These are varied roles assisting the Senior Marketing Manager in developing and implementing medium to long term strategies for delivering the businesses client growth, retention and value improvement objectives across both segments and products.
Other key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and agree the campaign or activity objectives and approach with Sales Segment and Product Heads
- Managing the segment/products marketing budget and expenditure to maximise budget allocation and return for investment plus proactively look for ways to reduce cost
- Evaluate, measure and report marketing activity results against business objective and embed learning's as well as champion these initiatives with the broader team
- Manage effective and efficient relationships with Sales Segment and Product Heads as well as other internal stakeholders including specialist functions and external creative agencies, industry bodies
- Managing the performance and development of a Marketing Associate (optional depending on role) and ensuring delivery of quality marketing activities through delegation as required
- Engage with specialist marketing teams to ensure the marketing activity and assets are best practice solutions for the segments marketing objectives
- Undertake non-segment marketing project as required
- Work with other members of the marketing team to build a strong operating model
To be successful in your application you will be an experienced marketing generalist with strategic and creative ability, a pragmatic, hands-on approach and a strong commercial sense. You will need to be highly personable with a flexible approach that places emphasis on partnering with the business to deliver. You will also have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Marketing
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar B2B marketing role, preferably within financial services or a services related environment within Australia
- Depth and breadth of knowledge and experience in marketing principles across the whole marketing mix
- Proven ability to delegate to and manage junior team members
- Exceptional planning, organisation and project management skills
- Strong relationship management skills with a proven ability to build partnerships with key stakeholders
- Well developed analytical, process and problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills
