Whatever the responsibilities, you'll have lots of opportunity to make your impact at Datatel:
•Manage all stages of the sales cycle: from interacting with influencers and decision makers at various levels within an organization to effectively negotiating and closing the sale.
•Manage sales through forecasting, account resource allocation, account strategy, and planning.
•Deliver effective one-on-one, small group and large group presentations.
•Successfully manage and execute an overall long-term plan in running a sales campaign.
•Proactively address needs of both prospects and existing clients.
•Stay abreast of current and emerging trends in the marketplace.
•Represent Datatel at conferences and trade shows.
•Negotiate pricing and contractual agreement to close the sale.
•Travel a minimum of 60% nationwide travel.
Qualifications:
•
•Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three of more years in software sales and direct client contact is required.
•Proven track record of successful technology product sales in higher education is required.
•3+ years field sales experience selling CRM systems into higher education is preferred.
•Datatel knowledge and knowledge of Datatel's CRM competitors.
•Understanding of the college admissions and recruiting process.
•Proven ability to penetrate accounts and meet with stakeholders within accounts.
•Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and excellent presentation skills are required.
•Highly developed selling and customer relations skills.
•Ability to work well with others at all levels of the organization.
This position is eligible for remote status and will be based in the western United States. The successful candidate reports to the National Sales Manager. Relocation will not be considered.
