Senior Ab Initio Developer / Architect recruitment

My client, a leading Financial organisation is looking for a Senior Ab Initio Developer / Architect, someone who can take an architectural view of the systems push the use of technology forwards.

The client has developed an enterprise data warehouse which processes very volumes of data (millions of transactions per month/annum) an expert with enterprise level background is needed.

Along with Ab Initio skills you will have Led or Managed an Enterprise Business Intelligence platform take a holistic approach to growing the BI platform.

A background in Financial Services would be a preference but other high volume / high transactional environments would be suitable.

*Ideally degree qualified or equivalent experience, with a background and experience in IT Development at a management level, including system or application design using Ab Initio in the batch and real-time environment.
*Use and delivery of applications using Ab Initio is a must have for this role.
*Development work in Data Warehouse environments, able to demonstrate good knowledge of data modelling techniques for large databases and use of Unix Shell scripts using AIX and Solaris.
*Development work on high volume systems in the Data Warehouse domain, able to demonstrate good knowledge of data modelling techniques for large databases.
*Excellent problem-solving skills and experience of working on research projects requiring technical innovation.
*Full lifecycle IT Development and payments industry knowledge in union with common modern OO based programming languages and associated middleware, database and Unix based OS products as well as enterprise based system design and knowledge of the SOA approach and associated discipline.
*Formal management training including people management, legal implications, incident management and security implications.
*Experience of Business Intelligence and data specific programmes from a design and delivery perspective while also understanding the business value that can be gained from the data stored.
