Senior ABS Structuring opportunity (deal execution)
Our client has weathered the financial crises far better than most, the bank is in a positive position and developing new business lines whilst building upon core pillars of the institution. The newly established ABS business completed approximately 12 deals in the past year, these included underwriting as lead of co-lead European RMBS, smaller public ABS offerings and private placements. The hiring business is entrepreneurial and nimble which creates a forward thinking and dynamic culture. As a newly developed business line the infrastructure is still being developed resulting in a less structured, more opportunistic environment. Therefore the person best suited to this opportunity will be comfortable and perform well in a fast paced and wide scoping role.
Responsibilities across Origination, Structuring, modelling, deal execution and marketing with a focus on transaction structuring and modelling. Working in the securitisation origination team you will have had experience modelling Asset-backed securities and structuring transactions.
This team works across the full spectrum of securitisation, including more esoteric ABS and on a global basis but with a European focus. The hiring business is looking for an individual that is able to work with raw data, structure a transaction from scratch, model transactions using spreadsheets, negotiate ratings with agencies and optimise deal models to suit investor requirements. This is a Modelling heavy role, you will need to have strong quantitative and analytical skills, be exceptionally capable using excel and be able to work quickly and in many cases develop new models using raw data.
As an integral part in the execution of any deal, this person will have a varied role and exposure to all counterparties including investors and rating agencies. As a small team this person will also work alongside the head of ABS Trading, head of Sales and the head of strategy. Therefore we are looking for someone with solid communication skills who is able to work with senior management and counterparties in an articulate and confident manor.
