Role Overview:
This role will focus on delivering software and IT solutions into our targeted markets which include both the public and private sector. As part of the role the individual will be responsible for the full sales lifecycle, sales strategy and for the chosen market sectors. You are required to develop business in new markets as well as grow our presence in existing accounts. This role will be essential to driving revenue growth and will carry a sales target.
Main Responsibilities:
- Analyse the existing market and customer base with a view to increasing our footprint in the Software solution area.
- Establish a clear market target customer strategy.
- Research and evaluate your target market on a regular basis, keep abreast of industry best practice, trends, market intelligence, regulatory or legislative implications and competitor offerings.
- Introduce new offerings to increase turnover and profitability
- Be responsible for all bids from tender through to contract award
- Deliver your assigned turnover and GP targets
- Increase recurring revenue through the introduction of long term contracts.
- Account development and up selling to existing clients
- Develop strong business relationships with external client companies and relevant business partners
- Respond to and follow up on sales enquiries using appropriate methods
- Assist with the planning and implementation of marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales and integrate personal sales efforts with organised marketing activity
- Provide accurate forecast information regarding the pipeline and projected revenue
- Effectively engage with internal personnel at the pre-sales stage with regards to resource availability and potential project deliverables etc
- Work closely with service delivery personnel ensuring complete customer satisfaction at all stages of project delivery.
- Comply with all internal administrative processes and liaise with the relevant operational function as required
- Exceed the highest standards of professionalism and customer care at all times
Experience:
- At least 6 years successful track record in creating and closing opportunities in the Public and private sector.
- Ability to work as part of a team and provide innovative solutions to business problems.
- Experience in selling Bespoke Solutions with an emphasis on generating recurring revenue for the organisation.
- Experience selling Microsoft solutions in the Sharepoint and XRM space
- Be capable of introducing new propositions e.g. Product and services
- Knowledge of general business so that we can align with clients mission and strategy so that we can meet the business drivers for those organisations.
- Experience in selling and closing high value business applications
- You will be an organised person who is capable of building up a pipeline and following it through to closure
Education:
- Relevant third level qualification in Business, IT or Sales marketing advantageous, but not essential.
- Some formal Management or Leadership training advantageous
- Previous formal sales training advantageous
Knowledge of:
- Domestic markets
- Public Sector
- Financial services industry sector
Other Information / Circumstances:
- Significant flexibility in terms of business travel nationwide.
- Project driven work requirements with overtime as needed to meet deadlines
