Senior Account Manager
The role holder will have responsibility for a team of Account Managers and Fund Accountants who look after a portfolio of private equity clients. The team are responsible for dealing with all client service issues in addition to producing regular client reports, capital statements and capital call/distribution notice reviews. Key responsibilities for the Senior Manager will be:
- building and maintaining strong client relationships ensuring that the highest levels of client service are operated
- managing and developing the private equity team
- reviewing key controls within the department and identifying ways to improve operational efficiency
- ensuring client reporting is accurate and delivered in a timely manner.
Given the focus on growth within this team, their will be a strong element of sales support in this role and as part of the senior management team, the role holder will attend new client presentations and contribute to sales pitches.
Candidates should:
- ideally have an accountancy qualification
- have a minimum of 7 years' experience accounting for private equity funds. The candidate may have gained this experience while working in-house for a fund administrator or while training in the audit division of a Big 4 accounting firm
- possess a strong working knowledge of complex limited partnership accounting and administration and understand fund documentation such as LPA, side letters and PPMs
- have excellent technical knowledge of complex fund structures including hybrid PE structures
- have a proven ability to lead, develop and motivate teams in a pressurised environment
- be proactive and strong interpersonally
