Senior Account Manager – Energy Software Sales recruitment

Position Description:
Combined with the global growth in demand for electricity, the volatility of fuels needed to generate it and tightening regulatory and reporting requirements, energy companies must manage fuels more effectively and efficiently to remain competitive.

At SunGard we are looking for an experienced, sales-focused Account Manager, to look after client relationships within the existing Energy business in the Nordics and Benelux. The ideal candidate should be able to deal at 'C' level and capable of formulating detailed account plans, enabling SunGard to grow services and licence revenues. This role will be based in London with regular travel.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop account strategy for existing clients

• Effectively managed assigned accounts across the region, developing appropriate sales strategies to generate licence and services sales

• Keep the client informed of what you've done and are going to do on a regular basis, consistently managing expectations

• Build and maintain strong relationships with systems integrators, other vendors and sister companies to ensure you maximise the probability of success

• Provide market intelligence to stakeholders within SunGard, identifying any product gaps and new business opportunities

• Co-ordinate the effective use of resources as part of the sales process, and work effectively with colleagues within SunGard

In this role you will deal with multiple issues, multiple stakeholders and things happen fast. You must demonstrate the ability to stay on top of things, to pre-empt situations, and to be prepared.

Position Requirements:

Experience Required:

• Substantial experience of selling enterprise solutions

• Knowledge of the Energy and Commodities markets and key players in the region

• Sound sales methodology

• Relationship-builder at Senior Executive level

• Strong network of local business contacts

Skills Required:

• Excellent communicator (English and another European language)

• Strong client management skills

• Strong presentation skills
