Responsibilities "Ensure accounting transactions are in compliance with Pfizer accounting policies and US GAAP. "Maintain complete and accurate standard operating procedures and SOX related internal control documentation "Maintain elements of domestic and/or international ledgers and sub-ledgers including the preparation and/or review of related journal entries and reconciliations "Prepare and/or review financial and accounting analysis involving complex transactions "Deliver critical analysis to external accountants and internal audit "Identify and communicate issues and be proactive in determining impact and proposed resolution. "Research and resolve discrepancies and technical accounting issues as necessary. "Lead meetings and projects involving senior level finance colleagues "Participate in financial and accounting integrations of domestic acquisitions "Participate in projects involving financial and accounting separation of domestic divestitures "Participate in the deployment of a domestic ERP (SAP) implementation "Assume leadership role on internal teams recognized as Pfizer subject matter expert and process owner for key accounting activities that are domestic or global in nature "Actively participate in the management and coordination of the domestic financial close process "Participate in the development and delivery of monthly training activities "Identify continuous improvement opportunities and participate in implementation of solutions "Prepare and review financial analysis for internal management, internal customers and external audit. "Research and resolve discrepancies and inquiries. Qualifications "Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA required "Minimum of 3 years of technical accounting required "Public accounting experience preferred "Demonstrated proficiency in PC skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required "Demonstrated commitment to education and professional development. "Strong organizational skills required to coordinate and manage multiple cross divisional work process and projects. "Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management "Ability to operate independently and remain focused through change or uncertainty. "Willingness to accept occasional travel for meetings and projects.
