Senior Accountant – Corporate Accounting recruitment

Our client is a leading Private Equity Group with extensive operations and investments internationally. Currently they are experiencing accelerated growth in the business and a new office has just set up in Hong Kong. They require a talented Senior Accountant to support the finance function within the Corporate Accounting team.
Reporting to the Asia Controller, your primary focus will be to support the all rounded daily accounting function for the Hong Kong business. Major duties involve bank reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, performing accounting entries, producing financial statements and analysis with supporting schedules for period closing. In addition, you will be monitoring daily cash flow, performing cost allocation on professionals' expenses and reviewing management accounts. You will also be expected to perform ad-hoc projects and system testing for company's finance system / process improvement initiatives. To qualify individuals must possess:
- Accounting degree and a professional CPA qualification
- Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in financial accounting from a financial institution or sizable MNC
- Candidates directly from Big 4 audit with financial services exposure will be considered
- Solid accounting experiences in accounts payable and general ledger functions
- Experience of major ERP system (PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP) is preferable
- Good initiative, ability to work independently and willing to work in a brand new office
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English is a Must, Cantonese is preferred
