Senior Accountant, Corporate Reporting recruitment
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- MONTH/YEAR-END REVIEW – Keep abreast of operational and financial issues in designated divisions/departments and review for significant and unusual entries at month-end and year-end close. Advise GFC/SSC if corrections are required. Follow-up on corrections in the systems.
- CONSOLIDATION - Perform designated consolidation tasks, such as intercompany settlement, elimination entries. Ensure that all open issues such as rounding differences are resolved before the pre-close meetings. Review and analyze consolidated results and highlight significant and unusual items for management’s attention.
- REPORTING - Ensure that monthly management reports are checked and released to internal management and shareholders on the dues dates per the Reporting Calendar. Prepare reporting of consolidated results to LVMH via Magnitude. Ensure accuracy and completeness of Bank Compliance calculations and reports. Prepare ad-hoc reports as required.
- FINANCIAL STATEMENTS AND AUDITS - Prepare quarterly unaudited and annual audited financial statements and footnotes for disclosure for DFS group entities as well as other special audits. Liaise with external auditors in interim, final and special audits. Coordinate with relevant parties to resolve any audit issues, compile audit packages, audit schedules.
- TECHNICAL - Keep abreast of current and research emerging accounting trends and issues. Advise management of accounting impact on DFS. Update and draft new accounting policies, controller’s memos and other internal accounting procedure memos. Provide advice on technical accounting issues.
- FINANCIAL SYSTEM AND REPORT TEMPLATES - Work closely with SAP support team to ensure that DFS’ reporting requirements are met. Maintain and update management and legal reporting hierarchies. Review requests for new SAP entity, cost center and profit center setups and ensure full understanding of consolidation and reporting implications. Maintain and ensure Chart of Accounts is regularly updated and relevant. Oversee maintenance and configurations of SAP user profiles for Finance modules i.e. FI/CO, ECCS.
- OTHER - Review financial contracts and commitments as required under DFS’ accounting policies. Advise and assist management in accounting and consolidation of new businesses’ and operations. Participate in ad hoc projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- CPA with 5 – 6 years of experience, preferably with some commercial experience.
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance.
- General ledger and consolidation experience preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in multiple software packages and flexibility to learn new packages. Department applications include SAP, Excel and Word.
- Must have strong knowledge of US GAAP and IAS.
- Self-motivated, team oriented, resourceful and able to manage multiple priorities.
