Colorado Federal Savings Bank, an equal opportunity employer, is looking for an enthusiastic and devoted Certified Public Accountant to join our dynamic team in Greenwood Village, CO. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work directly with our CFO and learn all facets of the accounting department within our growing institution.
This opportunity may require frequent travel on short notice, travel for long periods (1+ month at a time), and the ability to relocate.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Responsible for the recording processing of cash receipts.
· Assists with the processing maintenance of policies within the Accounting Department.
· Assist in the preparation for annual financial and internal audits and tax return preparation.
· Works with Bank’s cash position and Federal Reserve funding.
· Assists with the review of accounts payable daily transactions.
· Assists with the tracking and posting of accruals and prepaid transactions.
· Ensures all assigned general ledger and bank accounts are reconciled timely in order to limit the financial exposure of the Company both daily monthly. Identifies and communicates out of balance conditions and the existence of stale items to appropriate personnel. Performs necessary follow-up efforts to ensure outstanding items are being actively worked.
· Supports other areas of the Company by researching and clearing general ledger, accounts payable, or other items in question.
· Prepares and posts general ledger entries.
· Assist in or supports the timely and accurate preparation of various reports, including quarterly governmental reporting.
· Exercises awareness with regard to possible suspicious activity, money laundering or fraudulent behavior and reports any such incidents to the BSA Department and/or Internal Audit Director as appropriate.
· Performs job functions in compliance with all company policies and federal/state rules and regulations as applicable to the position.
· Management of Accounting Clerk Staff
· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills
· Advanced knowledge of Windows, Office Suite, and ten key skills.
· Ability to communicate effectively with all employees.
· Self-motivator and have the ability to work with limited supervision.
· Ability to be flexible and prioritize work in a fast paced environment.
· Ability to work under tight deadlines.
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
· Certified Public Accountant
