Robert Half Finance and Accounting has teamed up with a division of a multi-billion dollar manufacturing company to assist in the recruitment of a Senior Accountant. This position is ideal for a candidate who lives in East Dallas. Ideally, we are looking for candidates who have exposure to manufacturing. The location is just East of Dallas. Position title: Senior Accountant. This position will report to the Controller and work closely with the operations and senior management. The project and financial information resides on multiple systems and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the information in both systems and the transition of the data into a single, combined system. The qualifications and additional responsibilities of this position are detailed below. Qualifications Accounting degree Three (3) years + of accounting experience in a Manufacturing environment Knowledge of Project/Cost Accounting CPA or CPA candidate preferred Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel Knowledge of IFRS Strong Interpersonal skills and positive attitude Effective written and verbal communication skills Solid time management and organizational skills Attention to detail and a strong work ethic Results oriented with a strong sense of urgency Responsibilities Prepare and enter journal entries Assist in all aspects of month end closing Preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations Periodic and Mid-Month forecasting Assist Internal and External Auditors with information requests as needed Assist in annual budget preparation Assist in the preparation of job cost reports Reconcile inter-company balances Preparation of ad-hoc reports and analysis on request Other duties as required Please email your background to chris.willhite@roberthalf.com or you can call Chris Willhite at 972-789-9590.
